Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police stated they were contacted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then located many other vandalized cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials report preliminary tests indicate the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; officials are presently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have requested to the public for information.

A high-ranking official commented the attack made him speechless and had to be solved quickly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on online, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in 2020.
